When it comes to AI, most of the conversation revolves around speed and efficiency — how to do more, faster. But the truth is, the real advantage of learning AI early isn’t about doing more tasks. It’s about protecting and amplifying the things that make us uniquely human: creativity, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
That’s the main point we want to make: AI’s real power isn’t in replacing human qualities, but in giving them more room to shine. This is exactly what motivated Julijana Karai, Senior Researcher and Project Coordinator at the European Policy Institute, to start learning AI.

Why did you decide to start learning AI now?
Julijana:
“Learning never really stops, and with how fast AI is evolving these days, staying still just isn’t an option. When I saw your course on Instagram, it instantly caught my attention and got me curious. I’ve been wanting to dive deeper into AI for a while now, and seeing your course really gave me that extra push to learn more.”
What’s the most useful way you’ve already applied AI?
Julijana:
“AI has become incredibly useful in my daily life, whether it’s instantly translating text, generating captions, planning trips, acting as a powerful search aid while I write reports or research papers, or even helping my kid with his homework. It’s an useful, time-saving tool that makes tasks easier and learning far more exciting.”
What’s something you’d love to do with AI in the future?
Julijana:
“For instance, I’d love to develop AI that collaborates with humans on movies, books, music, and art, pushing creative boundaries in ways no one could imagine alone. By combining human imagination with AI’s ability to explore new ideas, this kind of technology could inspire entirely new forms of expression.
I hope to gradually build the skills I need like learning programming, AI tools, and creative coding (I guess it’s not too late!)…so I can contribute, step by step, to this exciting field of creative innovation. As I mentioned before, hopefully, learning really never stops!”
What do you think most people get wrong about AI?
Julijana:
“Our true strength lies in what AI can’t replace: creativity, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and adaptability. While many worry that AI will completely replace humans, I see it more optimistically, as an opportunity to collaborate and partner with AI, rather than view it as a threat.”
How would you describe your AI@Work experience so far in one short sentence?
Julijana:
“Super interesting, highly practical, and full of new insights!”
Any fun or unexpected moments with AI?
Julijana:
“When I type even a vague hint, it responds almost instantly, for example, I couldn’t remember the name of the designer Giambattista Valli, so I typed ‘a designer who makes dresses that look like a huge flower bouquet that could hardly fit in a car,’ and it immediately figured it out. I haven’t used it for many other purposes myself, but I’ve heard of all sorts of funny and creative experiments from others, like writing poetry, acting as a life coach, and many more.”
Julijana’s story is a reminder that the best professionals don’t just learn AI to do things faster — they learn it to dream bigger.
